Commercial Accounting Manager Hybrid Remote

Summary: The Commercial Accounting Manager is responsible for providing financial statements to investors. This position will lead a team of Commercial Property Accountants and/or commercial AP/AR.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Assists in hiring, training, and development of commercial accounting staff.

· Oversees monthly closing and adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP.

· Prepare and file sales tax and other taxes and licenses as needed.

· Participates in establishing accounting policies and procedures, including reviewing, and implementing process and system changes.

· Assist in the preparation of the annual budget process.

· Assist in the preparation of SAM billings.

· Assist in weekly bank reconciliations.

· Assist in year-end preparation, including 1099’s.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops andreviewing professional publications.

· Assists in the review of commercial leases to ensure they are fully executed.

· Assist in the preparation of common area maintenance billings.

· Tracking tenant improvements.

· Set up meetings with owners/investors to review financial statements and forecasting.

· This position is hybrid remote. In office scheduling requirements are determined by your supervisor and are subject to change at any time.

· Additional Responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

· Minimum of three years previous commercial accounting experience.

· Minimum of one year management experience preferred.

· Understanding of GAAP and general accounting processes.

· YARDI experience is preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of organization and dedication to driving & achieving results.

Language Skills: Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.

Work Hours: In a typical week, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours with regular and predictable attendance.

Work Environment: This work is usually performed indoors in an office environment with normal noise levels and no exposure to hazardous conditions.
