JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimize fulfillment production and make appropriate decisions regarding staff placement and prioritization on the floor.
- Implement and monitor performance goals and key performance indicators for order efficiency and accuracy.
- Responsible for the output of up to 15,000 individual orders per shift.
- Implement the Stord packaging standards with an attention to detail and provide effective quality control.
- Work alongside fulfillment staff in all order processing steps including picking items accurately, sorting and inspecting orders, packing orders, shipping and sorting outbound orders, and assembling materials for shipping.
- Demonstrate the highest performance and interpersonal standards in all matters including work ethic, professional demeanor, respectful communication, and attendance.
- Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes.
- Manage time and attendance of staff.
- Cultivate productive and supportive professional relationships with all fulfillment center staff to create a sense of teamwork and drive commitment.
- Coach Fulfillment Associates in performance and behavior situations by providing immediate, consistent feedback.
- Assist in ongoing training efforts for the entire staff.
- Develop Operations Leads as the team grows and effectively delegate leadership tasks.
- Provide training, performance feedback, and disciplinary recommendations, as needed.
- Provide a clean, safe working environment for all personnel and visiting customers.
- Foster safe handling, loading, unloading, and storage of hazardous materials.
- Identify operational or logistical challenges encountered by the staff and develop and implement solutions.
- Accountable for department Key Performance Indicator (KPI).
- Model and enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the Fulfillment Center Operations Manager & General Manager.
- Partner with support staff (HR, Safety, Customer Quality, etc) and peers to drive results.
- Monitor shift transition prep including general daily cleaning procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Willingness to work throughout our peak season of October - December.
- Good attendance - Employees are required to request time off at minimum two weeks in advance. Supervisors must respond to time off requests within two business days of receiving the request. Proxies can be assigned to manage time off requests. This is to ensure proper coverage during absence. All requests of a non-urgent nature (vacation, appointments, etc) require advance approval from the supervisor. Requests should be made by email and logged in Rippling for final approval.
Requests of an urgent nature (illness, emergency) should be provided with as much notice as possible. We understand that unforeseen events happen and expect, at minimum, notice prior to the employees scheduled start time provided directly to their manager via phone (text or call). Requests for non-urgent time off during periods of mandatory overtime will not be approved unless they meet the requirements for an exception.

Education/Experience
- HS Diploma required. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field highly preferred
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have prior experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), Microsoft Suite, material handling equipment and/or various storage systems
- 5S/LEAN experience preferred
