What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Controller position at Storm Search?
Our client is seeking an individual who is well-versed in both the technical side of controllership as well as the soft skills needed to motivate and drive a team to achieve joint results! This individual should be organized and motivated to help with the training, implementation and management of their business unit.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversees all activities related to accounting and financial planning
- Accountable for all financial reporting, forecasting and budget analysis
- Compliance with internal controls and SOX and GAAP
- Sales and profit analysis
- Regular meetings with leaders to drive performance improvements
- Manages the development and reporting of annual/monthly capital business
- Creates and maintains forecasting and budget across Sales, Plant Costs, SG&A, Inventory, Working Capital and all other required financial/non-financial data
- Manages the motivation, direction, and results achieved from personnel
- Drives team to meet and exceed department goals and timelines
- Oversees internal and external audits
Education/Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least10 years of experience
- Employee development/Performance Management skills
- MBA Preferred
- CPA/CMA preferred
- SAP preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
