A Director of Sales position in the Allegheny County, PA area is available with Storm Search. This is a Direct Hire job opportunity offering a competitive salary, generous bonus, excellent benefits package (NO Medical Premium), and GROWTH POTENTIAL!
This person can also reside in PA, OH, IN, IL MN, MO, or TX. You would primarily work from home when not visiting a client’s site and only come into the office when needed.
The Director of Sales will manage all commercial activities in North America for the OEM Mechanical Distribution Sales Segment. This role involves developing service initiatives and policies, ensuring efficient and accurate commercial operations, and striving for 100% customer satisfaction. The Director will lead innovation, market growth, and new product development, while driving operational improvements to support the Company's growth, profit, and customer satisfaction objectives.
Some of the Responsibilities of the Director of Sales includes:
- Develop and implement short- and long-term sales plans.
- Use analytical software to develop strategies for company performance and sustainability.
- Evaluate commercial personnel performance and ensure goals are met.
- Coordinate sales efforts for all products with mechanical distribution customers.
- Oversee changes in quoting, order entry, logistics, forecasting, and invoicing.
- Manage growth and performance initiatives to increase profit and revenue.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and train commercial personnel.
- Address customer complaints and quality issues, aiming for mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to respond to customer inquiries.
- Continuously review pricing policies and market conditions.
- Maintain processes for material flow across multiple plants.
- Update market information for the NAFTA (USMCA) region.
Some of the Qualifications/Requirements of the Director of Sales includes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing sales.
- Strong leadership and employee development skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong business acumen, especially in pricing and revenue management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel, and able to learn company software.
- Capable of solving practical problems with limited standardization.
- Valid driver’s license for business travel.
Salary : $180,000 - $220,000
