Description
Stotz Equipment, a John Deere Dealer is looking for a Service Advisor. This position will support the service department by managing work orders, customer communications, processing warranty claims, and scheduling service technicians. The candidate will assist the Service Manager in controlling department expenses, and manage the workflow from opening work orders to closing and invoicing. Must have strong communication skills and be focused on customer service.
What you'll do
- Communicate with customers to schedule service, as well as the collection of payment for services rendered.
- Check-in customer equipment coming into store.
- Maintain Service Department records.
- Assist Service Manager/Shop Foreman in controlling department expenses
- Open work orders as directed by Service Manager/Shop Foreman and maintain control until closed and invoiced.
- Assist Service Manager in coordinating customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events.
- Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from customer work orders.
- Assist in scheduling internal and external technician training.
- Maintain service library with information that is current. (i.e., files, bulletins, manuals, etc.)
- Work with technicians to help accurately quote service work
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Customer Service focused
- Organized and highly motivated.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to talk intelligently with customers about the repair process.
- Computer skills as well as experience in Word and Excel.
- High integrity, loyal, team player, organized and highly motivated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work a varying work schedule/shift and be flexible
- Multi-tasking effectively is a must as well as staying organized and able to operate under stress.
- Dedicated, Dependable, and Flexible
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Preferred Experience
- Excellent time management skills to manage work orders in a high volume shop
- Communicating with customers and providing excellent customer service
