Role Overview : The Field Office Fleet and Inventory Assistant is vital in maintaining Strata’s operational integrity and efficiency.

This position is crucial for ensuring that accurate inventory and tool records are kept through regular cycle counts and audits, which helps maintain optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory / tool levels and reordering products as necessary.

By collaborating closely with the purchasing department, this role ensures the timely delivery of tools and equipment, fostering smooth coordination with other departments to guarantee inventory availability.

Key Responsibilities :

Maintain accurate inventory / tool records through regular cycle counts and audits

• Monitor inventory / tool levels and reorder products as necessary to ensure adequate stock levels
• Collaborate with purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of tools and equipment
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure inventory is available
• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and work with appropriate teams to prevent future occurrences
• Assist in the development of inventory reports and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Communicate inventory status and issues to management
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements related to inventory management
• Set standards and maintain accountability for tools / equipment
• Assist with equipment and fleet
• Must comply with all company safety policies at all times
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand tools and power tools
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Must be 18 years old with H.S. diploma or GED

• Possess required personal tools
• Mechanically inclined self-starter
• Must have a professional demeanor and project a professional image.
• Must be able to multi-task and effectively juggle several tasks at one time.
• Must be able to professionally communicate with employees, managers, customers, and vendors.
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Physical Requirements :

• Frequent use of hand tools, electronic equipment, and machinery is required. Precision and steadiness are essential for handling small components and performing delicate adjustments.
• Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling periods.
• Able to work off all types of ladders, lifts and elevated platforms (electric or gas powered)
• Able to work at various heights up to 50 feet from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, or other safe work areas
• Able to work in restricted areas, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces and attics
• Able to constantly move on feet, climbing ladders and working overhead
• Good overall vision, with or without correction, is vital.
• Adequate hearing is necessary for safety reasons, particularly in environments with machinery and equipment where hearing auditory alarms and signals is crucial.
• Willingness to work in diverse conditions including exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, hard hats, and, in some cases, respirators.

Work Environment :

Candidates should be prepared for and adaptable to the following conditions :

Industrial and warehouse settings equipped with effective ventilation systems

• Office environments that are well-lit and maintain comfortable temperatures through heating and air conditioning
• Outdoor project exposed to varying and extreme weather conditions, including but not limited to heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow.
