Job Description

StratasCorp Technologies, a DoD contractor with employees located in multiple states and countries, has an opening for a Controller to work in our corporate office in Virginia Beach, VA. The company seeks a hands-on individual with significant experience managing accounting operations in a government contracting environment. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Day-to-day accounting
• Month-end closing
• Financial statement preparation
• Project accounting
• Compliance
• Contract evaluation
• Payroll
• Management of accounting department personnel
• Direct coordination with the Chief Financial Officer and President to handle business accounting issues, duties, and projects.

*Due to the sensitive nature of the position, the Controller must work full-time in-office with a hybrid schedule to be considered based on the ability to meet the demands of the organization.

Job Requirements

• 15 years of demonstrated experience in government contracting specifically related to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Extensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Proficient working experience and knowledge using Deltek/Costpoint as it relates to payroll, projects, and financial reporting.
• Experience in the strategy, development, and review of pricing models and proposals in support of business development.
• Secret clearance preferred; must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
