FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY: SABG is hiring for an Acquisition Specialist JrBFO Group 4 to support DHS FPS in Washington D.C. The JrBFO Specialists analyze, assess, and evaluate as part of a team providing consulting acquisitions services in the Federal government environment. The JrBRO Specialist will be responsible for steering and/or initiating the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources working with team members. This position shall be able to analyze elements of a problem or situation and identify potential solutions, as well as ability to interpret policies, regulations and directives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The general responsibilities of the Acquisition Specialist are as follows, to include but not limited to:
SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
The Acquisition Specialist shall have the following qualifications:
COMPUTER SKILLS:
CLEARANCE: Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability assessment clearance
COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
