Due to our current position in the industry, our workload has been growing exponentially. Therefore, we are looking to hire an individual to join our team as a Project Manager/CVS Team Leader. We are a fast-growing and energetic company looking for individuals that are interested in establishing a long-term career in a field that is exciting and rewarding. The position is for a full-time Project Manager/CVS Team Leader. The position is in SVS’s corporate office in Lee's Summit, MO; relocation assistance will be considered. Below are the minimum requirements and expectations for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience; however, we would consider other levels of experience based on qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a field of engineering, construction management, or other technical field of study with a strong background in math, science, and physics
- Project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills to manage and execute Value Engineering Studies on large capital projects (projects)
- Must be able to travel up to 30%-50% of the annual work weeks
- Must be able to conduct virtual workshops
Project Manager/Team Leader:
- Managing 8-10 active projects at all times and at different phases (see below). These projects typically have the following characteristics:
- Relatively short in duration, typically lasting two to three months from initiation to close out
- Fast-paced with many small activities performed by others, but managed by this position
- Projects are executed in three phases: Preworkshop - preparatory and coordination activities in advance of conducting a workshop, workshop - conducting a three to five-day workshop, and Post Workshop - preparation of workshop documentation, invoicing, and close out.
- Typically managing four to eight contracted experts in workshop environment
- direct interaction and coordination with SVS clients’ project managers and value engineering coordinators
- direct interaction and coordination with SVS Principals, other PM/CVS Team Leaders, project coordinators, marketing, and accounting
Certifications/License Required obtaining after hiring process:
- Certified Value Specialist® (CVS®) through SAVE International® - Required
- PMI-RMP (Risk Management Professional) or equivalent – Required
- VMA Certification - Required
- Technical degree is required
