Job Posting for Executive Housekeeper at Strathallan Hotel, a Doubletree by Hilton
The Executive Housekeeper manages all aspects of the housekeeping department including cleanliness of hotel guest rooms and facilities, guest request services, accounting/budgeting and payroll responsibilities, asset protection, and inventory control. The Executive Housekeeper directs all operations in alignment with Company and brand standards, and responsible for the execution of quality housekeeping services while meeting financial expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Full-time management position that requires schedule flexibility, ability to work varied days, evenings weekends and holidays.
3 years of experience in a housekeeping supervisor role or comparable experience. Hotel management experience preferred.
A true desire to understand and anticipate the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Refined verbal and written communication skills.
Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized and possess proven leadership skills
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage the hotel housekeeping department while working closely with the front office and other departments to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of hotel guest rooms and public spaces.
Ensure effective hiring, training, and development of department staff and provide continuous reinforcement of Company and brand standards.
Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
Perform various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, payroll, shift reports, inventory, scheduling.
Coordinate daily assignments and provide oversight of staff in completing work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining high quality.
Regularly review service scores to identify areas needing improvement and implement appropriate changes.
Ensure staff is proficient in and compliant with safety, security and emergency procedures.
Ensure timely response to guest needs. Resolve guest complaints as appropriate to maintain guest satisfaction.
Maintain a consistent professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests and associates. Approach all encounters and actions with guests and associates in a friendly, service oriented manner.
Manage within approved plans on budget and marketing plans.
Other duties and tasks as requested by management.
