Position Overview: As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for transporting materials and parts by pushing carts throughout the OEM customer's facility. Your efforts will directly contribute to maintaining the efficiency of the production lines by ensuring they are adequately stocked. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Push carts loaded with materials and parts to designated areas within the manufacturing facility.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to various production stations.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the cart staging areas.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing and lifting heavy carts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is a plus, but not required.
Working Conditions:
- 8-hour shifts with potential for overtime as needed.
- Saturday availability is required.
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment at the customer's site.
