Parts Quality - Line Call Support (US)

Summary of Responsibilities

Support line side trouble analysis and investigation for part delivery related issues (short to container, mis-label, damaged).  Contain Impact and support line protection.

Pay-rate: $19/hr - SWING SHIFT! Rotating 2 weeks on 1st and 2 weeks on 2nd.

Customer sites from coast to coast

Essential Job Function

• Take line calls on purchasing and delivery issues. Investigate to provide details for the determination of supplier issue vs in house.
• Coordinates short term countermeasure to contain found issue.
• Reports issues through proper reporting chain to include appropriate department.
• Reject parts, related to delivery issues, and escalate potential parts shortage to the PPS shift lead within 30 minutes.
• Honda PQ will have final confirmation of all non-conforming parts.
• Sort and inspect parts when needed for line protection and flow
• Complete required site training classes to be compliant with customer procedures.
• Provide shift pass down, handwritten, or electronic distribution for PPS communication end of each shift.
• Generate and add investigation data reports in NARS for Supplier Reps to review.
• Following Honda Trigger guidelines, requested sorting initiation on approval of PPS shift lead.
• Completes required training classes
• All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications

• Available to work assigned hours based on customer needs
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience, including basic math and reading comprehension skills
• For internal candidates, have satisfactory job performance (not on a corrective action)

Specific vision abilities (with or without corrective eyewear) required by this job include:

• Must be able to demonstrate effectiveness of visual inspection.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift a minimum of 25 lbs on a repetitive basis for duration of shift
• Walk, stand, and/or sit for duration of shift
• Meet any other physical requirements of project
• Work in different climates for duration of shift

Additional Requirements:

• Dependent upon customer and regional location, the following requirements may apply:
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel to customer facility on short notice
  • Issuance of company equipment, including laptop, mobile phone, and portable printer
