Summary of Responsibilities
Parts Quality Support Specialist
Takes line calls from the production floor from various departments and documents the information. Investigates potential parts issues and provides written documentation of findings.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Uses and reads various measurement devices, such as calipers, micrometers and gauges
- Conducts quality related discussions with customers
- Utilizes basic problem-solving skills to assist with root cause analysis
- Performs category coverage for each mass production group on a bi-weekly basis (body/chassis, appearance, and electrical)
- Maintains containment procedures on-line and off-line for quality issues
- Ensures maintenance of all sort activities throughout the shift
- Receives and documents supplier related phone calls
- Ensures efficient and effective category coverage throughout the entire shift
- Maintains communication with all department concerning sort activities
- Reports all activities in a clear and concise manner
Qualifications
Job Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Available to work assigned hours based on customer and business needs
