Summary of Responsibilities
A manufacturing process auditor is responsible for protecting the assets of an organization by completing audits and recommending improvements. Responsibilities include monitoring compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; preparing for audits by conducting appropriate research; preparing and distributing draft reports to the executive management; and completing audit work papers and memoranda by documenting audit tests and findings. A manufacturing process auditor communicates audit progress and findings and improves protection by recommending changes in the internal control structure.
This is an independent contractor position
Essential Job Function
1. Conduct planned and random audits of manufacturing processes.
2. Conduct planned and random audits of product during and after the production processes to keep eye out for unusual / non-standard work.
3. Witness all final inspections
4. Witness all one-over-one torque operations
5. Random sampling of torque through re-torqueing or visual verification of torque marks.
6. Visual debris inspection from machined parts transferring to assembly line

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, and the noise level in the work environment can be loud. Essential PPE for this environment that the associate must provide is steel toed boots (6” minimum side wall from sole, must be above ankle). Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety vest will be provided.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position of four 10 hour days Monday - Thursday, 1st shift hours

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
1 year of specialized training in auditing
Experience in conducting audits (Lead Auditor credentials preferred)
3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
