SUMMARY
As part of the Finance and Accounting team this role shares responsibility for the company’s standard accounting functions and financial analyses. Assist with monthly close duties, analysis, budget, and audits. Collaborate with, and respond accurately and timely to information requests from, team members across the company. Provide recommendations and support to aid in operational business decisions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a blend of Accounting and Financial Analyst functions, including preparation and review of transactions and reports ensuring accurate and timely financial interpretation and reporting.
- Develop, analyze, interpret, and report on financial results and compare to expectations.
- Assist with compiling and evaluating the company’s financial statements, budgets, and other reports. Highlight variances and trends timely, comparing results to projections. Recommend related business impacting improvements.
- Guides cost analysis processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Assist with Operations fixed asset and construction in progress tracking and reporting.
- Responsible for weekly and monthly inventory reporting and analysis.
- Complete standard Accounting transactions and internal reporting including but not limited to account and balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, month end closing, audits, and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, financial policies, and internal controls.
- Work cross functionally with departments, specifically with Plant Operations to aid in expense classification, analytics, and reporting.
- Collaborate to learn the business and enhance financial fact-based decision making across the organization.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, plus minimum of 2 years of Accounting or Financial Analysis experience preferably in a manufacturing environment, ideally food processing.
- High ethical standards and values upholding business integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality, including GAAP compliance.
- ERP skills required.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate clearly (written and verbally) of financial concepts to non-financial team members.
- Must be comfortable working in a meat processing environment.
- Outstanding organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Salary : $67,000 - $76,000
