The Activities Coordinator (AC) is an integral part of the StreetLightUSA residential programming team. The Activity Coordinator is vital to the sourcing, scheduling, organizing and leading program activities; both recreational and therapeutic. This Activities Coordinator is tasked with cultivating and maintaining external partner relationships including, but not limited to, volunteers, services groups, donors, and preferred vendors.

Essential Duties

  • Research, create, and prepare enrichment and recreational activities, both onsite and offsite for residents
  • Facilitate on site activities as needed
  • Prepare and keep updated weekly activities calendar
  • Manage budgets and supply inventories for activities and special events (birthdays, holidays, graduations, etc)
  • Maintain activity and sensory locations and equipment.
  • Collaborate and provide oversight and support for activity facilitators including, but not limited to training personnel as facilitators and reviewing activity plans and curriculum.
  • Maintain curriculums and all related supplies for therapeutic and specialty groups
  • Manage instrument, book and movie libraries (this includes screening new, donated and requested items)
  • Create and maintain activity procedures and forms and ensure compliance in collaboration with the Quality Assurance department
  • Collaborate with other StreetLightUSA team members for activity planning, schedule management and supply acquisition

Qualifications

  • Background cleared of any criminal offenses disqualifying employment (i.e.: sexual abuse of a minor, first, or second-degree murder, sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a minor, felony drug offenses, robbery, dangerous crime against children, etc.).
  • Associate degree or higher in Social Science, Recreational Therapy, or related field preferred (Minimum Requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent).
  • 2 years or more of social services, non-profit, or community engagement programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software programs and strong computer literacy.
  • Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • Physical Exam clearing work with no restrictions (updated every two (2) years).
  • Documentation of clearance from communicable diseases (Tuberculosis- updated annually).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
  • Minimum Age: 21
  • Bona-fide Occupational Qualification: Female

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
