SUMMARY
The admissions Coordinator will work as part of the Community Outreach & Engagement Team who have primary responsibility for engaging and creating community partnerships that drive admissions, process intake documents, generate revenue streams including community donations. The coordinator will work across New York programs to assist all programs in reaching their admission goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
- Work with all of the program leads to assess their particular enrollment needs.
- Facilitate weekly Information Sessions for prospective enrollees
- Provide weekly reporting on Information Session attendance, application submittals, and leads
- Follow up with information session attendees, new contacts and applications for all programs
- Follow up and Track youth 18-24 information session attendance and applications across programs and report results on a weekly basis
- Reconcile Information Session report with application report and provide outreach to anyone who failed to submit an application and follow up with individuals that did not attend
- Establish relationships with targeted community groups that serve our specific population needs
- Seek out and attend community events for recruitment purposes
- Coordinate and plan STRIVE recruitment events
- Help maintain a community partnership distribution list
- Work closely with the Communications team for collateral materials and strategizing around possible revenue leads
- Create opportunities for Alumni to refer new students and or be ambassadors for recruitment purposes
- Determine which NYC service best suits to serve individual’s needs then connect them to the appropriate program
- Assist with data entry into Apricot, participant tracking system
- Additional duties as required
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Experience forming community partnerships and asking for in-kind donations
· A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working with populations with barriers to employment. This includes long term unemployment, light to medium touches with the criminal justice system, or with history of substance abuse.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Accurate and detail-oriented
· Self-directed and motivated; able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a small team
· Microsoft Suite proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Ability to handle high pressure and high-volume workload
· Professional demeanor
· Data analytical skills preferred
