THE JOB

This is a Director of Facilities position and requires someone who has 3 years of Healthcare Facilities Management experience. As a Director of Facilities your roles and responsibilities will include:

Director of Facilities Management is responsible for the operation, maintenance, renovation and code compliance of all facilities and provides guidance and supervision of the Maintenance, Construction, Biomedical Service, and Contract Management departments.

Supervises: Biomed Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, Carpenter, Lead Carpenter, Lead Mech Electrician, Lead Mechanic, Mech II Groundskeeper, Mechanic II, Painter

Customer Focus: Models, exemplifies and leads in accordance with Healing Environment principles. Specifically: being professional, communicating effectively, and attending to the care environment. This is evidenced by work behavior which ensures safety, promotes dignity, respect and wellbeing, and exemplifies healthy relationships.

Demonstrates knowledge and skill necessary to provide service based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety criteria for adults, pediatrics, adolescent, geriatric, age groups in his or her area of service.

Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens is not reasonably anticipated. Normal work routine does not involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Director of Facilities who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Director of Facilities would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

Minimum: 3 years of Healthcare Facilities Management experience. Familiarity with health care regulatory standards and applicable building codes. Proven positive leadership outcomes based on previous supervisory/management experience.

Certifications: Preferred: CHFM highly desirable

Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry

Minimum Education: BS degree or an AS degree with a minimum of 5 years director experience
