Art Teacher

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Art Teacher to join our ONE-WEEK-LONG SUMMER CAMP. As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for two 30-minute classes each day of our camp (5 hours total for the week). Each class could be unrelated, or you could provide a theme throughout the week. If interested, projects could be displayed at our concert at the end of the week. The main purpose of our art class during camp is to provide a brain break for students, provide an extra enriching activity besides music and physical education, provide something students can take home as a memory of camp, and provide a break for our other teaching staff.

The age range for our students will vary. The summer camp is open to ages 6-18, but they will be split into two groups, mainly by age. One art class should be elementary and early middle school students, the other should be late middle school and high school students.

The summer camp runs from July 8th-12th from 10am-4pm. We would prefer to have the art class earlier in the day, but we are FLEXIBLE!

Qualifications:

- Relevant teaching certification or license

- Up-to-date PA Clearances

- Experience working with students

- Strong knowledge of the subject matter being taught

Skills:

- Proficient in visual arts, crafting, early education.
