What are the responsibilities and job description for the Records Management Assistant position at Strongbridge?
Strongbridge has an exciting opportunity for a talented, hands-on Records Management Assistant with a passion for innovation to support our work with the US Department of Transportation (DOT), FRA and the federal records inventory project. Ideal candidates should be self-starters who value their work and the contributions of their team members! Candidates must be clearable for a public trust and be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and have lived in the US for the past 3 years consecutively.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with all aspects of the records lifecycle support for a federal government records management inventory project including but not limited to: record inventories, record scheduling, records disposals and transfers to ensure the management and preservation of authentic and reliable agency records
- Assists with researching and resolving issues and communicating results to management
- Assists with the identification, storage, backup, reproduction, protection, and disposition of hard copy records
- Supports quality control efforts on information captured during inventory project
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years experience with NARA compliant records management lifecycle
- Exposure to NARA record retention schedules and NARA's ERA system
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office products
- Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
