Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of our company's data systems, including databases, servers, and applications
- Responsible for the maintenance and optimization of existing data systems
- Collaborate with data analysts and developers to ensure accurate and timely data processing and reporting
- Develop and implement data security protocols and procedures to protect the company's data
- Act as a technical mentor to junior staff and provide guidance on best practices
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data technology and make recommendations for improvements to our systems
- Conduct regular system evaluations and performance testing, identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Manage system backups and disaster recovery plans
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, effectively communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering or a related role
- Strong experience with database management, SQL, and data integration
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C
- Experience with cloud computing services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven experience leading a team and managing complex projects
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Certifications in relevant technologies and systems a plus
