At Structural Buildings we design and construct a wide array of building types from post-frame, steel-frame, masonry, stud wall frame, SIP panel, and tilt-up concrete; ensuring our ability to provide the best type of building to meet all of our customer’s needs. Summary

The Sales Manager will play an instrumental role in helping the company meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets. Reporting directly to the General Manager, and under the direction and guidance of the Structural Buildings ownership group, the Sales Manager is responsible to hire, manage, direct, train, develop, measure and motivate the internal sales team. Additionally, he/she will develop, manage and control the sales operations process. As a key leader in the company, the Sales Manager shall be a principal advocate of the “CLIENT IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY” philosophy.

Responsibilities

  • Coach, develop, train and motivate sales team members to maximize each individual’s performance.
  • Manage day-to-day performance of all sales team members.
  • Monitor sales performance, working directly with each Sales Consultant to guide and direct them to ensure continuous performance improvement.
  • Identify strengths/weakness each team member.
  • Identify potential growth/ceiling each team member.
  • Continually identify new potential team members.
  • Establish on boarding procedure for new team members.
  • Establish initial training program for new team members.
  • Put in place continuing training agenda.
  • Conduct and log at least 1 ride along each month for all Sales Consultants, observe presentations, and evaluate using score card.
  • Visit each branch and work with team on a weekly basis.
  • Schedule, organize and conduct the sales meeting each month.
  • Plan and organize company presentation at strategic shows and events with the intent to create awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Regularly attend sales presentations, observing individual sales associate’s techniques and methods. Follow-up with customized coaching and training designed to improve performance.
  • Become expert with Structural Building sales tools.
  • Monitor all proposals/contracts to ensure they fall within company min/max parameters.
  • Make sure all contracts/division sheets are complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate, organize, and hold each Sales Consultant accountable for attendance at special events and tradeshows.
  • Plans and executes sales activities which support Structural Building’s established sales objectives, and develop new opportunities for additional growth.
  • Hold each sales team member accountable for cleanliness and staying on top of maintenance of their company vehicle.
  • Develop a sales training program which encompasses the sales process, company history, Structural Buildings’ construction methods, prospecting, lead qualification, use of internal computer applications and tools, selling techniques, closing methods, and customer follow up.
  • Become an expert on our commission structure and stay on top of any changes that should happen to that structure.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent lead generation.
  • Capable to complete pricing a building for any internal sales.
  • Ensure that the policies and procedures of the Sales organization are carried out in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives as set forth by the General Manager.
  • Become expert on Structural Buildings' competition.
  • Always be aware of industry trends, changes, opportunities.
  • Develop working relationship with product vendors and make sure each show room stocked with samples and displays.
  • Conduct interviews for potential new Sales Consultants and draft up and sales position offers per direction and agreement of General Manager.
  • Ensure that the company Revenue and Gross Profits objectives are met.
  • Sets monthly, quarterly, and annual Sales and Gross Profit Margin goals, and provides direction for their attainment.
  • Work with General Manager to establish KPI’s.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Manager.
  • Capable of building and managing high performing sales teams with a proven history a substantial growth year over year.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
  • Competent with technology, laptops, Microsoft Office, smart phones and multi-line phone systems.
  • Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Previous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing training programs.

Professional Qualifications

  • Requires five to ten years of experience in the selling field, with at least five years in a management capacity.
  • Proven sales skills, with a track record of success meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Experience in the construction industry is critical; post frame construction experience a PLUS.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is a plus; preferably a business or psychology discipline (experience may be substituted for higher education).

Salary: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year to start.
