What are the responsibilities and job description for the AutoCAD Drafter position at Structural Technologies?

We are currently recruiting for an AutoCAD Drafter / Designer to join our STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES Production Facility in Houston. In this position, you will work as part of a design/production team in order to complete machine and equipment plans and drawings as well as coordinate administrative aspects of projects.
As a Drafter, key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Working closely with production manager to establish project details and develop civil/mechanical drawings.
Preparing detailed drawing packages necessary to perform all phases of production.
Reviewing project documents and drawings to compute, develop, and verify requirements for drafting data, such as configuration of elements, dimensions, and tolerances.
Discuss field condition with construction and operations teams and implementing necessary revisions.
Retaining and filing project documents and drafts as well as final approved drawings.
Create graphics for client presentations
Candidates who meet the following minimum criteria may be considered for this position:
5-10 years of experience in computer-aided drafting/design OR
2-5 years of experience in computer-aided drafting/design with related Associate's degree
Proficient with Autodesk software including AutoCAD and Revit
Demonstrated ability to effectively visualize 3D views from 2D plans.
Demonstrated ability to produce 3D models with Revit and/or AutoCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred qualifications include:
Proficiency in the preparation of machine detailing and drawings pertaining to pumps and equipment foundations
Experience with preparation of connection details for structural steel members consistent with AISC Standards and AWS Welding symbols
Experience with preparation of concrete formwork details
