With over 20 years of National Commercial Construction experience, we are looking to expand our team and actively seeking a Accounting & Office Assistant looking to grow their career.


The Accounting & Office Assistant provides accounting, financial and general office support for the accounting department and the overall office.  The Accounting & Office Assistant is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, project document management, state reporting and general office duties.


Essential Functions

  • Submits and maintains all corporate annual reporting by State. Assists Accounting Specialist with state licensing as needed.  
  • Updates and maintains all general ledger reconciling spreadsheets.
  • Manages and processes quarterly and annual IFTA filing requirements.
  • Matches and mails all Accounts Payable checks for Accounting Specialist. Files corporate copy of invoices and check stubs.
  • Compiles and disburses weekly activity reports to Project Managers once approved by Accounting Specialist for disbursement.
  • Compiles and processes yearly vehicle and trailer tab renewals.
  • Completes and submits credit applications.
  • Maintains and updates all vendor and client W-9s and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Assists the Pre-Construction Department with:
    • Sorting, organizing and filing all job related records
    • Creating new sold project binders for Project Managers
    • Upon project completion, removing documents from project binders and filing in the respective location.
  • Handles ordering all office supplies
  • Handles all clothing inventory needs for office and field staff. Works with the Accounting Specialist to order additional clothing when necessary.


Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Business or Accounting required
  • At least 2 years full time work experience required
  • Experience working in the Accounting field a plus
  • Experience working in the Construction field a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs; specifically Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proficient in using different Accounting software programs


Location, Travel and Working Conditions

  • This position is a full time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours worked per week
  • The position works out of the office in Chaska, MN
  • This position may require up to 10% national travel
