Stryker is seeking a hands-on Sr. Software QA Engineer, Mobile with a passion for technology, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong experience with developing tests and technical acumen. You will be responsible for functional and system automation testing of the Stryker Vocera mobile application suite. The position will report to the Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance.

What you will do:
Technical Responsibilities:
- Lead the test design and testing of software components in alignment with requirements and architecture defined.
- Apply and mentor others on advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts.
- Conduct, design, and select advanced prototyping and testing.
- Lead and guide in correction of complex product design issues.
- Conduct technology exploration and influence application in the business.
- Translate user needs to design inputs/ specifications and produce complex system level designs independently.
- ·Ability to generate and review the necessary documents with project teams. (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test).
- Conduct testing to expose defects and constraints, Isolate the issue; drive for root cause and contribute to the solution and drive closure.
- Follow QA standard methodologies and processes: smoke, functional, performance, stress, and load tests.
- Ensure that quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved.
Business Responsibilities:
- Apply strong understanding of clinical and communications workflows to enhance product development.
- Contribute to and execute customer facing activities like voice of customer and customer centric design in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates financial acumen.
Med Device Compliance:
- Mentor others as a business unit expert on the usage of industry standards, including test design requirements and test strategies per applicable regulations.
- Lead others to create and refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file and creates more progressive technical content.
- Ability to create traceability matrices to ensure all requirements and design elements have associated tests.
- Contribute to R&D procedures and development of industry standards working closely with cross-functional business units.
General Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success, both leading and influencing other leaders on the team.
- Identify and lead the creation of or improvements to procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
- Execute and lead segments of complex product development to advance projects through the design /development/launch process.
- Contribute to complex product development through release and lead one technical area of expertise.
- Hold self and others accountable to deliver high quality results with passion, energy and drive to meet business priorities.
- Mentor, develop and inspire others in current and future roles.
- Lead code and test reviews for systems applying design principals, coding standards and best practices.
What You Need:
Education requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science or related discipline & 6 years of work experience.
Technical Skills:
Programming Languages:
- ·Lead project software implementation using programming skills in Java, JSON, Ruby, Python, Bash, SQL. Design new components and systems applying various design concepts and patterns.
- Experience with repository tools like SVN and BitBucket.
- Experience in Linux operating systems and command line syntax.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SoapUI, Swagger-UI, Postman or similar API test tools.
Design and Development Skills:
- ·Ability to lead strategies in integrated development environments (IDE) for projects.
- ·Ability to lead strategies with tools for static/dynamic analysis, memory management, code coverage, and techniques for analyzing software.
- ·Ability to lead integration and deployment processes using Jenkins and Ansible playbooks.
Software Process Skills:
- ·Collaboratively influence the Software Development Life Cycle processes changes and best practices.
- ·Collaboratively influence the Application Lifecycle Management /Traceability best practices and tools.
- ·Collaboratively lead in creating estimates for code implementation time/resource for assigned tasks and projects.
- ·Regulatory and compliance standards applied to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Preferred Skills / Engineering tools:
- Understands the theory and methods of SAFE/ AGILE processes and can apply them under minimal supervision while demonstrating:
- Ability to create and implement testing methods, record test results and prepare test metrics.
- Capability to test all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to formulate test documentation (e.g. testing protocols, test reports) skills.
- Deep understanding and experience with testing and development tools for Android and iOS.
Certifications:
SAFe Agile certification
$109,500 - $232,900 salary plus bonus eligible benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
