STS Technical Services is hiring IT Support Specialists in Ridgeland, South Carolina.
Overview:TICO (Terminal Investment Corporation) is a recognized leader in the terminal equipment and services industry. Due to continued growth, TICO is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Team.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position will provide first and second-line technical support to internal staff. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operations across the organization. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a user-centric approach. You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues while providing exceptional support to our internal users.
Essential Duties:- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person, addressing hardware, software, networking, and application-related issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, hardware peripherals, and software applications.
- Multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Communicate effectively with the team and end-users.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in various systems.
- Collaborate with the support team to escalate and manage more complex cases, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as software deployments, hardware upgrades, and system migrations.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving Windows operation systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate.
- Self-motivated and adept at managing tasks independently.
- Interpersonal skills for effective interaction with senior management.
- Knowledge of Dell, Sonicwall, Citrix, VMware, Cisco, Aruba, Ubiquiti, Office 365, Linux (a plus).
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
- Experience with Active Directory management, user provisioning, group policies, and Microsoft 365
- Familiarity with remote support tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
