The Role 💫
We are looking for a Strategy Manager that is passionate about food, grocery and retail logistics. This will be a hands-on Global Role responsible for supporting the setting of the company’s long term strategy, sizing and scoping new business opportunities as well as finding tactical solutions for strategic issues. You will report to Jean-Benoit Trautmann, who leads our global Strategy & Planning Team. You can be based in London or Paris.
\n- Support the process of setting Stuart’s long-term strategy through discussions with internal and external stakeholders, using a data-led structured methodology and accurate business plan modelling that enables long term profitable growth.
- Lead strategy work to identify and assess growth opportunities in the food, grocery and retail markets, including: i) sizing of the total business opportunity, ii) assessment of the product needs, ensuring that we develop a product that delivers long-term and unique value for clients, iii) collaboration with the product/tech teams to prioritise feature developments, and iv) regular updates on project progress to the ExCo.
- Find tactical strategies that help one or more of Stuart’s business lines/countries win in the short term to foster long term profitable growth.
- Support strategic needs of business and product teams on cross-country and cross-department topics.
- Develop and synthesise a holistic view of the business and in the industry by actively engaging with Stuart local teams, clients and partners
- 3 years of experience with minimum 2 years of experience at a top tier strategy consulting firm or investment bank (M&A) with international exposure.
- Experience at a fast-growing start-up would be a strong plus.
- You’re a creative thinker - hypothesis-driven problem solving comes naturally and you view constraints as challenges to be overcome.
- You know how to get meaningful information out of large sets of data.
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills, and are comfortable in establishing professional relationships with senior stakeholders.
- You’re detail oriented and never take shortcuts at the expense of depth of knowledge - but you never lose sight of the big issues.
- You are used to own your work and to autonomously and proactively come up with potential solutions to any constraints or roadblocks.
- Fluent in English is a must-have and other languages are helpful!
