StubHub is seeking a proactive self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to lead the controllership function at our high growth company. The Assistant Controller will work cross-functionality with Finance, Legal, Human Resources and the Business Operations teams across the Company. Communication skills, attention to detail, and an objective approach to learning and problem-solving is a must!
\n- Manage the contract-to-cash, general ledger and procure-to-pay teams
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions
- Own the book-close and related balance sheet reconciliation processes for Marketplace operations (cash, payables, receivables) as well as accrued expenses, fixed assets, etc.
- Partner with Tax and External Reporting/Policy teams on compliance initiatives, adoption of new rules and financial reporting
- Partner with FP&A to plan and budget
- Maintain ownership of internal controls and update as business developments dictate, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
- Be a key part of the annual audit and quarterly reviews with external auditors, the finance team, and executive management
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving and automating processes
- Work on special projects, as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- C.P.A. required
- 7 years of progressive controllership experience
- 5 years of progressive experience within a Big 4 accounting firm
- Strong aptitude for identifying and implementing process improvements, including the use of new technology and automation tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage critical timelines
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written), as candidate must be able to work and communicate with individuals at all levels across the organization and draft technical Tax and accounting memos
