Job Summary:
We are seeking a candidate who has a minimum of 1-3 years of commercial lines insurance experience working in an insurance agency who is seeking an opportunity to learn, grow and develop into an account manager.

This role requires assisting with the management of a book of business which involves direct communication and service with clients as well as sales support to producers. The position requires a significant degree of independent judgement, time management and discretion to meet the service level required. The role will develop the employee’s knowledge of the product and coverage offered by the carriers. The role will support the account managers with daily servicing needs and will be responsible for assisting clients and making changes to existing accounts.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing a book of business including servicing policies from start to finish, from completion of applications, submittal and quoting with carriers, sending proposals to clients, binding, and policy issuance.
  • Ability to operate and utilize online carrier portals for servicing.
  • Market accounts to insurance carriers and maintain strong relationships with our carrier partners and underwriters by becoming familiar with and executing strategies developed for satisfying carrier goals and objectives.
  • Creation and sending of summaries of insurance to clients.
  • Certificate of Insurance Issuance.
  • Communicate by phone and email directly with clients.
  • Must follow agency document retention guidelines and keep customer files and policies up to date and accurate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in P&C insurance servicing.
  • Current Arizona P&C insurance license (if not currently licensed, must pass licensing exam within 6 months of employment).
  • Arizona Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Agency Management Software experience a plus.
  • Time management, attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work and manage day to day tasks independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including email exchanges.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Availability which aligns with the business hours of operation.
  • Must be able to work within a team environment.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that includes a robust employee benefit package including health insurance, 401k and PTO. Compensation is negotiable depending on experience.
