Stuckey’s is growing the business in new directions and is seeking a Financial Assistant to join us. The right candidate will have the necessary education and/or experience to maintain the accounts of the business and support the Controller with the management of the accounts receivable and accounts payable..

This is an internal looking position that will work closely with the Controller, the General Manager, and the Owners. This critical part of Stuckey’s resurgence story needs a candidate that values the history of the company and believes in the future that we’re creating.

Location: Wrens/Augusta, Georgia

Summary:

The Financial Assistant is responsible for accurate entry of the internal costs and revenues from Stuckey’s operations, as well assisting with the metrics and statistics that allow the company to monitor and improve production.

This position interacts frequently with all members of management and is a critical part of budget creation and performance measurement.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree focused in Accounting or Business, or equivalent experience
  • Solid computer knowledge, particularly of Excel, and a preference for experience with Business Central or Dynamics NAV.
  • Demonstrable experience with financial data entry
  • Experience supporting a production business with cost accounting, with a preference for food products

Essential Job Responsibilities:

The Financial Assistant will support the Controller with the data entry and analysis of production and distribution operations in our Wrens, Ga. based company.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial Management:
  • Reconcile accounts with banks regularly
  • Ensure that all information in Business Central is accurate and timely
  • Maintain internal safeguards for the receipt of revenue and expenses
  • In support of the Controller and the management team, compare financial and operating benchmarks with actual sales and performance
  • Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards
  • Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information
  • Production Performance:
  • Collect and report critical statistics to measure efficiency of production and distribution operations, and ensure that data flows into Business Central on a timely basis
  • Provide monthly production reports for effective analysis and forecasting
  • Make sure all data in system is accurate to allow analysis and forecasting
  • Collect departmental level performance measurements, with Key Performance Indicators that measure efficiency and support incentive programs
  • Conduct regular analysis of departmental costs and marginal return on activities
  • Development:
  • Actively participate in Stuckey’s performance evaluation process with goal setting and regular communication of progress.
  • Grow skills annually through product familiarity and training in areas of personal opportunity.
  • Maintain any professional certifications.
