Admissions Coordinator
(Fixed term, Twelve months contractual role- Maternity Leave)
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an Admissions Assessment Co-ordinator to join our Admissions team at Study Group (SG)
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a highly pressurised and deadline-driven customer facing environment. The successful applicant will have experience of working towards Service Level Agreements (SLAs) within a customer facing role or in a Shared Service Centre (SSC) environment. Knowledge of global education systems and experience of working in the education industry are highly desirable.
The SSC will contain a number of global front, middle and back office functions that are critical to the success of the business and will serve multiple locations around the globe. The SSC will deliver support services to SG’s customer organisations, by deploying common processes, tools and best practices, generating synergies across multiple function areas by consolidating activities into one centralised function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce a high quality of work – ensuring assessments of applications are completed in a timely manner and are accurate with the Student’s best interests in mind
- Pro-actively look at alternative options in order to provide the best possible pathway for the Student
- Prioritise work appropriately to ensure the most important items are worked on first
- Liaising with internal and external parties in clear and succinct English and a professional manner to build relationships and ensure quick resolution to any issues
- Offers must be produced within the stated SLAs
- Quality of work must be high with minimal reworks
- Efficiency of work throughput must be high
- Provide value-add service through knowing multiple national education systems, educational institution / course entry requirements and the correct conditions to apply based on the applicant’s background
- Assess applications in line with Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets and send / respond to any correspondence in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate any issues quickly to the Admissions Assessment Team Lead
- Provide support and information to Sales and Recruitment Teams to enable them to hit their targets
- Identify opportunities to continually enhance the admissions process and improve working practices
Qualifications & Training
- Fluent English (written, spoken, reading) - essential
- Teacher Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) certified – desired
- University Degree achieved – desired
- Other language skills – desired
- Experience of working on Pegasystems - desired
Experience
- Working in multi-national companies with other cultures
- Working to deadlines within a customer facing / SSC capacity
- Quick at typing and experience of working with systems
- Working in an Admissions function - desired
- Working in an education company – desired
- Knowledge of the NARIC database - desired

- Understanding of the UK Educational System
