Position Description and Performance Requirements
The Draft Beer Tech serves as an expert in beverage dispense systems to include draft beer systems, wine-on-tap, cocktails-on-tap and soda.
This position is expected to work hard to meet the Brewer, Distributor and Restaurant Owner's expectations in maintaining the highest standards possible in all aspects of beverage dispense operations. The Draft Tech serves as the face of our company to their local accounts and has the ability to seek out and generate leads from the relationships built while servicing various systems.
The draft tech role covers areas in and around downtown Chicago market.
Work hours are M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m (typically no weekend schedule but regular overtime opportunities may be available)
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled draft line cleaning and system service work.
- Work Stuever & Sons management and contractors to help with draft line cleaning.
- Assist on large accounts where 2 or more technicians are needed.
- Weekly management of assigned accounts.
- Completion of all required communication and verification tools to confirm that the assigned lines are being serviced within the designated time frame
- This is to include documenting completed line cleanings at the restaurant or retail level using designated forms and calendars.
- This also includes using the proprietary draft line cleaning application as assigned.
- To maintain a high level of communication with every customer as to the status of their accounts.
- To maintain a high level of communication with management team as to the status of assigned accounts.
- To attend all scheduled Stuever & Sons meetings and training.
- To be responsible for maintaining a clean/sanitary work and storage area for company equipment.
- Other service and maintenance work as assigned by the AMMs or MM
Position Requirements:
- Proven excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
- Clear written and oral communication ability.
- To display mechanical aptitude / be mechanically inclined.
- Proficient with the operations and functions of multiple beverage dispense systems to include draft beer, wine on tap, cocktails on tap, coffee on tap, etc.- preferred but not required.
- Proficient with cleaning, servicing and maintaining of draft beer systems, wine on tap, cocktails on tap, coffee on tap, etc. - preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
