STV currently has an opening in our Charleston, or Columbia, SC offices for a Traffic/Civil Engineer in our Transportation & Infrastructure division. This role offers unlimited opportunities to play a critical role in delivering the projects, interact directly with senior staff and clients, while promoting the culture of a healthy work-life balance. This role also offers the opportunity to function as a resource in support of our other offices and have a direct impact on the improvement of infrastructure nationally. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who desires to work in a team-environment, displays confidence, and possesses a solid understanding of traffic engineering principles. The candidate will be responsible for: Perform complex traffic microsimulation analyses using TransModeler and VISSIM Write and review traffic analysis reports and summaries of microsimulation/traffic operations analyses Support the Planning group by providing transportation studies, economic reports, feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, impact statements and assessments Additionally, support interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production, monitoring budgets, schedules, and quality Coordinate across multiple jurisdictions and offices on projects & interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines Design using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD (depending upon the Client) Required Skills & Required Experience: BS degree in Civil Engineering / EIT/FE Certification is preferred Experience in transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field 2 years of relevant experience Proficient in Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Experience with TransModeler microsimulation simulation software (or VISSIM with the ability to learn TransModeler), Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS and comparable software Excellent interpersonal skills Compensation Range: $75,145.00 - $98,200.00 Don’t meet every single requirement?
