Our Opportunity:
The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that materials, processes, and products meet the company's quality standards. They conduct audits, inspect materials, and communicate findings to management. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in metal fabrication and inspection desirable. Strong communication, analytical, and computer skills are essential. The position involves occasional project work and working in varying environmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Plans and prepares all quality audits for the manufacturing and administrative operations.
a. Retrieves audit instructions and all required samples to support the audit.
b. Performs material audit.
c. Appropriately transacts material in SyteLine/Shoptrak.
B. Performs randomized re-audits of finished goods.
C. Communicates audit findings and conclusions to applicable management and staff.
D. Assists in problem solving for identified quality problems (e.g., finish defects, scrap and rework, customer complaints, cycle reduction, etc.).
E. Prepares regular and varied verbal and written communications to execute job duties and facilitate the overall effectiveness of the quality assurance effort.
F. Under the direction of Supply Chain Manager, performs project responsibilities in implementing planned corrective action measures.
G. Performs other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Desired Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year familiarity and working exposure to metal fabrication, metal finishing and anodizing processes desirable.
- One year experience in mechanical and visual inspection functions desirable.

Lifting/Carrying: Raise objects weighing up to 20 pounds from lower to higher, higher to lower, and horizontal positions periodically through the day.
Fingering/Keyboard: Frequent repetitive hand and finger manipulation for handling materials, typing on the computer, using calipers and other measuring tools, and writing.
Position requires the use of near, mid-range and far vision with clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. The ability to judge distance and space relationships and see objects where and as they are. The ability to identify and distinguish colors and extrusion imperfections. The ability to observe up and down and to the right and left.
