Position Summary/Purpose:
Property Office Assistants are responsible for assisting the Property Manager with the daily operations of an apartment community. These professionals will market and show apartments. They will also assist in the preparation of documents for move-in files and re-certification files along with invoice entry, answering phone calls and assisting with walk-in traffic.
Essential Functions:

- Answer phones and greet visitors.
- Walk homes to ensure that vacant apartments are ready to lease quickly, and market those units diligently until occupied.
- Assist the manager with preparing documents for re-certifications and move-in files. This includes faxing information, looking over applications to ensure completion and determining income qualification.
- Maintain guest cards and traffic log of current prospects that the Property Manager meets and follow up according to company guidelines.
- Enter invoices, traffic and applicants into OneSite.
- Keep manager informed of all property incidents in a timely manner.
- Travel to, and participate in, both regional and home office training and/or conferences as required.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Assist in processing paperwork
- Other related duties as determined from time to time and communicated to the employee by management staff.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Knowledge of property management – Beginner/Intermediate
- Customer service ability-Intermediate
- Knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Word-Intermediate
- Property Management Software, OneSite – Beginner/Intermediate
Minimum Education/Equivalent Experience Requirements:

- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Prior experience in property management, preferred
Physical demands and work environment:
- Physical Demands
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time in all weather conditions. Must be able to climb stairs to tour properties.

Office environment. Physical inspections of property require outside activity and exposure to weather conditions.
