The Suddath Companies is a multifaceted group of companies that specialize in worldwide corporate employee relocations, household moving, warehouse and logistics management and specialized transportation services.
Provides analytical support for various activities and functions associated with warehouse/distribution operations, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) metrics, departmental presentations, and assists with special projects. Provides intra-department assistance for various operational support departments such as Quarantine and Distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, sustain & maintain all metrics related to case picking and storage.
- Support 3PL & JJOS activities.
- Support Suddath progress and success with CIPs (Cost Improvement Programs).
- Participate in continuous process improvement activities
- Collaborate with the operations material handling team to proactively identify and quantify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain the integrity of documentation files, electronic document directories, database files, and hardcopy records. Prepare, create, and analyze reports and statistics as required.
- Prepare any presentations needed by management concerning departmental Key Performance Indicator metrics.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with established company policies to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
- Complete special projects, duties, and assignments, as appropriate.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years’ experience working in the Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or related industry required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge and ability to create dashboards and SQL queries. Excellent communications skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required and ability to focus on details for long periods of time. Energetic, can-do attitude and able to multi-task. Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices. Excellent attention to detail is essential. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. skills of persuasiveness or assertiveness, as well as sensitivity to the point of view of others.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled environment. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
