Position Summary The Warehouse worker is a crew member not in a lead position. They may assist with loading, unloading, internal moving, packing, unpacking, and warehouse handling work. The Warehouse worker assists with operational production functions under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor. Warehouse functions include loading vehicles and containers, unloading vehicles and containers, packing and shipment preparation, unpacking, warehouse handling, and use of material handling equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Protectively pad and wrap items for loading in vehicles and containers Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment to and from vehicles and containers Stacking and unstacking items in vehicles and containers Pack and pick orders for commercial customers Stack and place items in warehouse racking Record information used in the Warehouse Management System locator function Carry, dolly, or move items with material handling equipment within the warehouse Complete certified training as required for any material handling equipment assigned Comply with all safety policies and guidelines Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience High school or GED; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Math Ability Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to learn and effectively use move management software, warehouse management software, timekeeping and other software applications used in the daily performance of job duties.
