What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategy Associate position at SUEZ?
As a Strategy Associate within the “Development, Strategy & Innovation” team, you will report to the SVP Development & Strategy, of the Municipal Water Business Unit. You will work in an international environment and around other staff at all levels.
Within the mandate of the Municipal Water Corporate & Operational Strategies team, you will be responsible for:
- Refining and supporting implementation of strategic initiatives, in close collaboration with cross-functional teams on transversal topics. Assisting identification of operational challenges and best practices for a better support to MW Divisions
- Supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of action plans, and follow-up with teams for regular updates
- Performing strategic and ad-hoc studies on medium to long term topics (including but not limited to environmental and sustainability challenges), and preparing recommendations. Collecting and analyzing data to provide an integrated-picture provide and decision-making guidelines.
- Creating or maintaining systems to track, measure and report on different initiatives and programs, including metrics dashboards.
- Preparing presentation material and decision making supporting documents

Responsibilities: *
- Assist the SVP Development & Strategy in implementing strategic plans in close collaboration with Operations / MW BUs
- Provide insight on initiatives to support the mission of the company about sustainability, environmental protection and circular economy, and be a key actor in their execution
- Perform data analysis to provide decision-making guidelines
- Ensure good coordination between the different divisions on transversal topics
- Be a trusted and dedicated support to Top Executive management team for strategic topics and ad hoc missions
Qualifications:
- Graduated or graduating from a top school in Business / Engineering / Environmental Sciences / Sustainability. (Part-time students in their last semester, able to be fully committed to a full-time position, are welcome to apply).
- 2 years of previous experience in Strategy / Finance consulting, Operations, Environmental Sciences or Sustainability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint, or similar productivity tools (e.g. Google). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI) is a plus
- Ability to collect and synthetize relevant data / information
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root-causes and recommend solutions
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative and creative team player with drive for innovation and continuous improvement of systems, processes and tools
- Positive, proactive and ability to thrive in a flexible and collaborative environment
