We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team in the NY region. The Cost Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting construction financial management, including budgeting, reporting, auditing, risk management, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support construction financial management activities, including budgeting, cost reporting, forecasting, and change management.
- Assist in managing and analyzing financial data related to large, complex construction projects within the NY region.
- Generate detailed reports and analysis to provide insights into project performance and cost control.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, contract terms, and company SOPs.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects.
- Utilize data analysis and visualization tools to present information effectively.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on large commercial construction projects (over $50 million)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with construction project management and financial tools, including Procore and Oracle.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for analysis, modeling, and reporting purposes.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach with arms and/or hands.
