What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Maintenance Helper position at SUGAR BOWL SKI RESORT?
Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for a seasonal Lift Maintenance Helper to assist the Lift Maintenance team with the summer maintenance program. Perform routine preventative maintenance including grip, line and terminal work. Perform start up and shut down duties on ski lifts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Consider courtesy and safety the highest workplace priorities
- Clean driving record, ability to be added to Sugar Bowls drivers list
- Ability to learn how to work in a high stress fast paced environment
- Possess basic mechanical experience and knowledge
- Ability to learn how to provide excellent customer service to all people at all times
- Ability to learn how to climb ladders and work at heights to perform necessary maintenance
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Consider courtesy and safety the highest workplace priorities
- Receive sign off on all mandatory training as determined by Manager
- Perform basic preventative maintenance duties:
o Sheave cleaning and disassembly
o Sheave inspection for cracks, snap ring groove tolerances, snap ring wear
o Sheave bearing removal and replacement
o Sheave liner removal and replacement
o Sheave painting and date stenciling
o Solvent tank use for cleaning ski lift parts
o Removal of carriers from lifts
o Removing grips from carriers
o Team carrying detachable grips
o Assist with grip disassembly
o Grip parts washing

- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work place
- Complete and submit written work documentation
- Be an advocate for Company policies
