Sugar Drop is a Franklin Tennessee based business that specializes in cake, party and sweets supplies as well as high end gift items. Sugar Drop has an on-site party and event space and pick-up ready signature cakes and cookies as well as other sweet treats.

Job Summary: Our goal is to be the sweetest shop in town. Your job is to support our mission and to make sure every guest gets a consistent product in keeping with the Sugar Drop bakery standards. The bakery is a direct link between the customer and our establishment regarding the quality of food we provide, therefore, it is essential that you demonstrate the following characteristics, whether your interaction be in person or over the phone:

The Cake Decorators' job is to provide the best impression of Sugar Drop through the quality of our baked items including custom and standard cake designs and ensure the customer leaves with a feeling of satisfaction and enjoyment with each item purchased.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and decorating cakes according to customers' specifications.
• Decorating regular bakery items according to established bakery standards.
• Assisting baking staff with the production of standard bakery items.
• Be familiar with all Policies and Procedure
• Familiarize yourself with the daily order schedule
• Consult with manager to know the status of any events, classes or parties and any baked items those events will need.
• Keep the baking area clean and free of clutter. Make sure floors and countertops are clean and free of debris and clutter. Make sure all items are washed as used throughout the day
• Using your time wisely and efficiently - During slower times, double check orders, supplies, cleanliness, etc. Look ahead to see what items need to be prepared for the next day or refilled in the case.
• Being organized in your production and clean-up: All items, both food, and non-food items have specific places they should be stored. Be sure to place items back in those locations for everyone to be able to locate them when needed.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Proven baking and cake decorating experience.
• The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Detail-oriented.
• Artistic and creative.
• Basic numeracy skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Available 5 days a week, including Saturdays. Position is for Approx. 30 hours per week.
