Urgently required Serdes Test Engineer

Description:

• Looking for people comfortable collaborating with an experienced lab team. The work is primarily in the lab onsite, but some remote work is possible 1-2 days per week.
• Looking for people with direct experience with serdes compliance testing. Candidates should be able to collaborate with an experienced team and work independently once a task is explained with goals outlined.

Responsibilities:

• Execute Electrical characterization testing for high speed differential serdes TX and RX interfaces over process while margining voltage and temperature
• Analyze serdes test results for compliance to the PCIe (PCI Special Interest Group) and Ethernet (IEEE) industry standards
• Serdes TX compliance is performed using Keysight automated test applications that run on either a real-time or Sampling Oscilloscope
• Serdes RX compliance is performed using Keysight BertScopes for injecting additive jitter and analyzing the serdes receiver's ability to tolerate it

Required Skills:

• Experience working with embedded systems to perform electrical experiments
• Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Most lab equipment is windows based with scripting
• Knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components
• Strong documentation and writing skills

Required Education:

• 2 year degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Desired Skills:

• Serdes transmitter jitter and high speed eye analysis skills
• Experience with Python scripting
• Experience with a Vector Network Analyzer for measuring passive channel RF characteristics and serdes device return loss.
