There are 2 positions available : On Site Monday - Friday; 1st shift (7am-3pm) and 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm)

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

• Performs required operations to set up, adjust, and operate Pre-Form Machines.
• Insures proper operating inventory through communication with supervisor.
• Load material and facilitate the transfer of the material to pre-forming equipment. Maintain constant flow of material to pre-form operations.
• Maintain proper balance of pressure, position, dwell, and material quantity on pre-forming equipment to produce specified pre-forms.

Locate and move containers of input materials to pre-former equipment according to lot, batch, and selected container numbers.

Transfer granular materials from 1 type of container to another to facilitate loading into pre-forming machines when necessary.

Basic understanding of a computer and its operation is required. Work with decimal tolerances when setting pre-former parameters.

Performs operator in-process testing and control as it applies to the process and product to meet specifications.

• Make, record, log, and chart appropriate product and process control records through EPCS or manually.
• Assists other operators in maintaining various process equipment on the pre-former line. Maintain equipment with available tools to insure standard operation, such as changing tooling.

Assist Maintenance personnel in the repair or replacement of various process equipment components.

• Disassemble and clean all elements of process equipment as required or on change-over of material. Assist in all efforts to bring non-operating process line equipment back into operation.
• Detect unusual conditions, defective materials, operating difficulties, or process upsets, and report to supervisor. Requires the use of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Provide relief as necessary to maintain continuous operation of process line.
• Observe prescribed or necessary safety precautions and work according to good manufacturing and housekeeping practices.

This position requires direct handling of hazardous materials; Personal Protective Equipment will be provided and is mandated.

• Implement and maintain the 5S systems in the Plant. This includes sorting, straightening, and cleaning activities including but not limited to vacuuming, equipment cleaning and inspection and painting.
• Train other operators as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required or necessary. The description above represents the most significant duties of this position but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned, the inclusion of which would be in conformity with the factor degrees assigned.
• Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent.
