Purpose and Scope of Job:

Coordinate activities of workers that involve shipping orders, materials, supplies, tools, equipment or parts, receiving and put-away of incoming materials and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of warehouse stock.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

• Ensure the safety and productivity of all employees
• Ensure security of facilities during designated shift hours
• Enforce all safety, quality, and standard work procedures
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of shipping/receiving and warehouse activities.
• Ensure proper execution and implementation of all policies procedures with regard to receiving, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
• Manage outbound shipping processes to ensure shipments are completed on time and accurately
• Manage receiving and put-away processes to ensure timely availability and preservation of stock and FIFO protocols
• Maintain communication with various departments regarding shipping issues or delays.
• Maintain a clean and safe work place in accordance with 5S protocol
• Investigate and report all incidents (quality issues, spills, accidents, poor performance)
• Engage in daily tasks including process improvement, inventory, evaluating, controlling and tracking against goals, budget, and timetables.
• Ensure all metrics and reports are completed and communicated in a timely manner.
• Maintain physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, enforcing daily forklift and hoist/crane audits.
• Train and coach shipping staff on effective inventory techniques and daily shipping and receiving tasks.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as situations dictate

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) to Four (4) years warehouse distribution and/or Shipping experience.
• One (1) year of Team Leadership experience
• Basic math skills
• Basic understanding of computers
• Must have clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written and be detail oriented
