Overview:
Primary job functions:
Business Analyst / Project Manager – focus on Front office (Interest Rates / FX Derivatives space) solutions, STP, Trade Execution and xVA/Credit simulations.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis for Front Office, Front to Back projects.
Enhancement and fixes book of work, testing effort, coordination.
Primary job functions:
- Business analysis for strategic projects and enhancements
- Create functional and business requirements documents (FRDs, BRDs), Draft project initiation documents (PIDs)
- Work with Project sponsors/members, stakeholders, developers, quants to understand, capture, document business needs
- Liaise with in-house development team to design, test and build solutions
- Collaborate with and support wider PM/BA team
- Participate in production support and BAU enhancements (in-house and vendor developed applications)
- Write user stories, documentation, conduct training sessions on new functionality and new hires
- Archive all project documentation into company-wide repository
- Document SIT and UAT test plans, perform QA functions and execute, track test cases
- Work with users to document testing efforts, assist in testing. Track defects and resolutions
- Work with technology and business teams to document production implementation, validation plans
- 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Investment Banking, Securities
- Prior Business Analyst experience in Capital Markets or Fixed Income
- Familiarity with job functions, processes and trade life cycle in derivatives trading
- Fluent in converting user requirements into usable specifications for development
- Experience in creating complex reconciliation tools, result sets summaries
- Prior experience in working in multi-cultural and regional teams
- Working knowledge of Rates/FX instruments, PnL Explain, Market/Credit Risk metrics a plus
- Knowledge of xVA, Rates exotics, Commodities a plus
- Can-do positive attitude focus on acquiring new skills and a hunger for learning systems and business
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Flexible mindset
- Love of data. Ability to spot patterns, outliers and exceptions. Dig into the details, but also keep the big picture in mind
- Great reconciliation skills. Hands-on experience with manual or automated testing environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ease of working with others, in small/medium-sized teams
- Ability to interpret client/business needs and translate them into requirements and solutions
- Exemplary work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines and objectives, going beyond
- Ability to play an integral role in all Project phases (end-to-end support and ownership
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Bachelor's degree. Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science degrees preferred.
- Availability to make time-commitments to meet Project lifecycle timelines
- Existing knowledge of xVA and Credit Risk, a plus
- Familiarity with electronic trading platforms/standards and feeds, a plus
- Strong analytical, data reconciliation and data driven decision skills, a plus
