Overview:
A Messaging Security Architect is responsible for designing, building, testing and implementing Cyber Security systems within an organization’s IT network, specifically as they pertain to messaging infrastructure and applications. A Messaging Security Architect is expected to have a thorough understanding of complex IT systems and stay up-to-date with the latest Cyber Security standards, systems and authentication protocols, as well as best practice Cyber Security products in the messaging space.
Responsibilities:
- Support project efforts related to the enhancement of messaging security, according to the SDLC process.
- Document business and IT requirements.
- Design project timelines and deliverables.
- Report on projects during weekly team and management meetings, as required.
- Conduct acceptance testing and document results.
- Conduct post-implementation review meetings, as required.
- Design and implement messaging architecture related to project efforts.
- Work with multi-disciplinary technical teams to make project changes, perform testing, and troubleshoot issues.
- Create and manage internal and external tickets, as required.
- Make operational and security configuration changes to messaging systems.
- Document operational run books for new processes and technologies.
- Design user training booklets and conduct training sessions, as required.
- Work with business units and customers as required to troubleshoot and support messaging systems.
- 5 years’ experience in cybersecurity and/or IT risk management.
- 5 years’ experience in messaging.
- Solid understanding of messaging protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization and cybersecurity.
- Solid understanding of cloud concepts.
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing global messaging and security solutions.
- Ability to interact with a broad cross-section of business and technical personnel to explain and enforce security measures across the messaging environment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
