Summary:
Acts as the outside attendant and control operator during clinical treatment using monoplace hyperbaric (HBO) chambers. Accepts responsibility and accountability for working within the framework of appropriate regulatory body where it applies and follows all Diversified Clinical Services (formerly Curative), Wound Care Center and affiliate hospital policies and procedures. Complies with hospital (if applicable) and nursing philosophy and standards while performing job duties and responsibilities and will demonstrate competence in these essential functions through the ability to perform functions in a clinical setting.
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or License Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state license in good standing.
Minimum Work Experience
- Certification in Hyperbaric Technology preferred or ability to acquire such certification in a reasonable period of time.
- Must have at least one year experience in patient care environment and/or diving/medical hyperbaric experience.
- Working knowledge of various control systems of the chamber or ability to acquire such knowledge in a reasonable period of time.
- Strong computer skills (Database, spreadsheet, appt scheduling and charge entry).
- Current BCLS certification

- Strong computer skills (Database, spreadsheet, appt scheduling and charge entry).
- Demonstrates a high degree of skill in HBO therapy, chamber operations, basic EKG monitoring, and emergency care, taking initiative and working independently in a fast paced environment preferred
- Maintains the appropriate levels of competence through professional development activities preferred
- Ability to understand and properly apply various emergency procedures outlined in the chamber operation manual to ensure the safety of the patient preferred
- Demonstrates working knowledge of various computer software including word processing and spreadsheet functions
- Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
$23.51/hr - $28.21/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
