Summary
Ensures the safe, efficacious, and cost effective preparation and use of medications. Conducts practice of pharmacy in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations and hospital policy and procedures. Participates in ongoing evaluations to ensure quality patient care. Works well within a team environment; accepts and offers honest and constructive feedback; supports team goals and encourages other team members; and collaborates with patient care team members to consolidate work, solves problems, creates new methods to reduce costs if necessary. Shows flexibility/adaptability in meeting environmental constrains and demands placed on services as is common with changing reimbursement and managed care targets.
Formal Education Required
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Formal Education Required
- Bachelor s Degree or PharmD in pharmacy
- Current Licensure in State of Ohio
- Working knowledge of pharmacy law
- Dexterity to operate a computer terminal, calculator, and other office equipment; to manipulate fine instruments; and prepare pharmaceutical entities in minute proportions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with pharmacists, nurses, technical physicians, and other healthcare personnel
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient and department records
- Ability to self-direct to execute responsibilities within a team structure
- Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
