What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electro-Mechanical Technician position at SummerBio?
SummerBio’s Engineering team is recruiting Electro-Mechanical Technicians to support the design and maintenance of SummerBio’s groundbreaking automated RT-qPCR systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with the assembly, repair and installation of automation equipment
- Assemble and test complex, electro-mechanical assemblies
- Analyze and document test results
- Diagnose, troubleshoot and create solutions
- Work with outside vendors to resolve issues and improve system reliability
- Monitor and document the operation of equipment including inspection, cleaning and maintenance
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 5 years experience with complex mechanical and electrical system assembly and maintenance.
- Must be able to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with automated liquid handlers and tube capping/decapping systems is a plus
