What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician position at Summit Fire Protection?
Summit Fire Protection is a premier firm in the Fire Protection and Fire Life Safety industry with offices throughout the United States. At Summit Companies we provide services designed to protect buildings, assets and most important people.
We are currently seeking a Shop Tech/Warehouse Associate for our Sioux City location.
Essential Functions:
- Picking up and receiving of fire alarm, fire sprinkler pipe and devices with some truck driving.
- Help keep shop and fire alarm holding areas clean.
- Be courteous to our service techs, co-workers and wholesale customers.
- Perform Hydro testing and extinguisher re-fills.
- Assist our mobile service techs with their routes.
Job Requirements:
- Operate Forklift
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time. You will be on your feet all day with the exception of morning and afternoon breaks and lunch
- Need to be able to work with hand tools.
- We provide on-the-job training
